# Opterra: Change your password

### **1. Changing Your Password**

To update your password in Opterra, follow these steps.

### **1.1 Signing Out**

1. Open the **Opterra** app on your device
2. Navigate to the **Explore** page (the landing page for the app, or available by touching the **tab counter** in the top right of any screen).
3. Tap the **Burger Menu** (top-left corner).
4. Tap **Sign Out**.
5. Confirm by tapping **Log Out** on the prompt.

### **1.2 Initiating Password Reset**

1. On the Opterra home screen, tap **Get Started**.
2. Enter your **Email Address** and tap **Next**.
3. Tap **Forgot Password** underneath the password field.
4. Tap **Send Email** to receive password reset instructions.

### **1.3 Resetting Your Password**

1. Open the email from Opterra (Back Paddock team).
2. Click or tap **Reset Password**.
3. Enter your new password.
4. Re-enter your password to confirm.
5. Tap **Reset Password**.

You can now return to the Opterra app and sign in with your new password.
