# Opterra: Create a recommendation
## Using Opterra app to create and save recommendations for one or many paddock plans
### **1. Creating a Recommendation**
Recommendations allow you to build structured advice for crops and applications, which can include multiple applications.
### **1.1 Navigating to the Recommendation Section**
1. Open the **Opterra** app from your iPad or iPhone.
2. Navigate to the Explore page (the default landing page, or touch the **tab counter** in the top right of any screen).
3. Select your **Organisation** from the drop-down on the Explore page.
4. Tap the **Recommendation** tile.

### **1.2 Creating a New Recommendation**
1. Tap the **Plus (+)** button in the bottom-right corner.
2. Enter a **Recommendation Name**.
3. Select your **Crop Type** from the dropdown, or use the **search bar** at the top.
4. Tap **Select** to confirm your crop.
5. Adjust your **Advice Valid To** dateif necessary.
- Default is **1 week**.

### **1.3 Adding Applications to the Recommendation**
Each recommendation may contain **one or many applications**.
1. Tap **Add Application**.
2. Tap **Area Selection** to nominate your required paddock plan for your recommendation.
3. Choose one of your existing **Plans**, then tap **Select**.
4. Choose your **Timing**, tap **Select**, then confirm.
5. Adjust the **Due Date** and **Priority** if required.
#### **Adding Inputs**
1. Touch **Add Input**
2. Choose your input type (e.g., soil input, seed, fertiliser) using the icons at the top.
3. Enter your **Rate**, adjust **Units**, and add **Cost** if needed.
4. Tap **Done**.
5. To add more inputs, repeat the steps.

### **1.4 Adding Additional Application Details**
1. Tap **Manage Application Details**.
2. Enable any additional fields you want to include.
3. Tap **Done**.
4. Enter your required data.
You may also add **Comments** by typing into the comment box at the bottom.

### **1.5 Saving the Recommendation**
1. Tap **Save Application**.
2. If needed, continue adding additional applications.
3. Once complete, tap **Create Recommendation**.
Your recommendation is now created and will be visible in the Recommendation tab of your Organisation.
